How to Fix Windows Update

Errors are quite common as many internal problems can occur in the System. So errors, while windows are updating, is one of the issues. We know that the updates improve the windows operating system. It is crucial for your operating system to install these updates because they are designed to fix the problems, work properly, and allow the user to access the enhanced features.

Woefully, Windows Update has always been prone to a wide range of errors, and every error that occurs is accompanied by a code, which gives users some clues as to what the error is all about and what caused it.

Deleting junk files from the system prevents you from updating your system successfully. But most of those files are located in folders that are not easily accessible. Then use a PC management app that scans the computer for junk files and terminates them. Now run the Windows update again.

The initial approach for repairing any Windows file is to run the System File Checker (SFC). A tool that scans the computer for damaged system files, including the Windows component store, and tries to repair them.

Another tool to fix the Windows Update problem: the Windows Update Troubleshooter. It can be accessed via Control Panel.

Then run a scan using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) which can check the Windows component store’s integrity and repair any damaged files.

All this will restart Windows Update Services and fix any error you are having.
