Copywriting is the occupation of writing text for advertising or marketing purposes. It is the focus of ads, sales letters, sales emails and more.
Content writing is the act of writing text that educate, entertain and inform the audience about a given topic. It includes blog posts, social media posts, emails, white papers etc.

Copywriters write short-form copy such as for ads, slogans, taglines, billboards etc while content writers write long-form copy such as articles, blog posts, press releases, white papers etc.

The aim of copywriting is to draw attention of their audience and asking for immediate action for example to download something or buy a product. While, content writing aims to provide information or educate their audience about the given topic.
